Greebo... Only Greebo... Notoriously camera shy, I can usually only photograph him when he's asleep. Here he is on the couch backrest cushion with his head hanging down between his front paws!

In this case it was a jersey draped over a kitchen chair and it didn't take long for him to climb up onto the chair and go to sleep.

My precious little Minx, still dainty as the day she arrived in our house. When I try to photograph her she knows I'm near and she stretches and squeaks at me before settling down again.

Her favourite place to sleep is between me and my Glugster on our bed, snuggled up to one of our thighs. And as long as Riddick puppy stays at the foot of the bed she'll stay peacefully asleep.

Ever since he was little, Greebo has loved books and magazines!

I Am A Cat Slave

The Kitties Don't Like Puppies Much...

When we came home with Riddick and Volt last Friday, the cats all disappeared upstairs until they reckoned the pups were outside or asleep.
Turk was the only one of our cats who would happily snuggle with the dogs, the others would rather not have puppies in the house at all!
On Friday evening my knucklehead went upstairs when he came home from work and started giggling, calling me to bring my camera- Minx, Magic and Diva were squished together on the blanket on his bed! No puppies allowed!

And this evening I had to get a picture of another mini-me moment between Greebo and Minx, who were watching Volt and Riddick playing.
Can't you just taste the disdain?!

I think the new puppy, Riddick, has the cats a tad confused... Like Volt, Riddick had never had any interactions with cats until he came home with us. Unlike Volt, Riddick can't see what the cats are! A couple of times he has come face-to-face, literally, with one of the cats and just stopped dead in his tracks. And once he could see Greebo up on the kitchen counter and he was bouncing and barking at him. When its daylight he can see them moving around and he clearly knows they're not dogs but I don't think he knows what to do about them. And unlike Volt did, Riddick doesn't chase them!

Sweet Magic

Okay... only sweet sometimes! He can be a grumpy sod most of the time. If you have the audacity to walk up behind him or stand too close to him when he's eating he will growl and give you an earful!
The staircase is one of his favourite places to lounge around...

And he is a professional at staring at things no-one else can see!

  

Its Been A Year...

My Taxi went over the rainbow bridge exactly a year ago.

My heart still aches a little when I look down the passage from my bed, half expecting to see him sauntering towards me with his tail straight up in the air.

Magic In The Sand

Magic has always loved being outside, and every now and then the knucklehead takes him into the garden on his harness.

Then last weekend, my son was sitting on the kitchen steps and Magic was talking to him through the gate, so I said that if he was prepared to chase him if he took off he could let him out into the garden (remember, our cats are exclusively indoor cats).

Magic loved it! He didn't go far and he had a ball rolling in the sand next to the kitchen steps!

Silly Kitties...

Greebo just LOVES meat! Here the knucklehead was sitting eating his dinner (boerewors) and Greebo climbed up ONTO HIS SHOULDERS to try and get at his food! The silly narna!

The furbabies love the ottomans under the lounge window, and I just love how Minx stretched herself out to make the most of the little bit of sunshine that was coming through the clouds on this day.

Magic's favourite place in the house is the bookshelf at the top of the staircase. Its where he sleeps every night and where you can usually find him in the day time as well. This afternoon I found Diva squished on his shelf with him!

Home Made Cat Toys

I saw something like this on the internet a while ago, and decided it would be something fun to keep my furbabies entertained!
It took ages for my household of three people to collect all the empty toilet rolls, but I finally had enough to make it challenging.
It stands on the floor or on a table, and I put kitty treats inside the tubes. They must then find which tube its in and get it out!
Minx and Greebo have mastered it! Its so cute!
Turk tries to stick his whole face into the tube to get the treat out and ends up knocking it over!
Diva and Magic pretend it does not exist.
