Happy Birthday Minx!!

Sweet li'l Minx, I can't believe its already your first birthday!!

Minx noticed Glugster outside the kitchen door on the grass!

We don't know exactly when you were born, so we gave you August 30^th 2010 as a birthday since the vet guesstimated your age at 6 weeks old when you came to live with us!!

You are still the littlest cat in our household, and you are the sweetest little personality.

Your long legs and tail are almost always curled up under you and one of your favourite places to sit is on the counter around the kitchen sink!

When I take a picture of you with a flash your right eye closes in the photo- as if its more sensitive to light than your left eye and it always looks like you're winking at me!

Turk and the Dogs

Proof that Turk is getting closer and closer to sleeping with the girls! Thelma and Louise are still wary of him as I have taught them they're not allowed to touch the cats at all, but he's definitely worming his way into their space!

Today Would Have Been...

My precious Taxi cat's 7^th birthday.
I don't actually know when his birthday was as he was a foundling, I gave him a birth date that kinda matched his age when I adopted him, and today was that day.
Hells bells I miss my sweet Tixanax... I still catch myself looking down the passage from my bed expecting to see him strolling towards me, his tail popping straight up into the air when I say his name.
I love you my sweet Taxi, and I miss you so very much.

Turk Takes Over

I had a real giggle today!
Thelma and Louise have been sleeping inside overnight and spending time inside the house with me in the day time for about 6 months now, and whilst the feline furkids no longer lose the plot when Louise comes haring in the front door- they're not exactly cosying up to each other either!
Turk is the one who spends the most time going up to where Thelma and Louise sleep, either sniffing noses or trying to sneak up on them, or taking a swat at one of them, like he's making it clear who's boss.
Thelma and Louise no longer snap or bark at the cats, they responded very well to my training that the cats were out-of-bounds, they will sniff Turk's nose if he goes right up to them without making a fuss.
This morning I was tidying up the kitchen and the girls were inside, and I happened to glance over to where their bed is and lo and behold- there was Turk, curled up and sleeping in the doggy "donut" right next to their bed cushions! I was astounded!
And then a little later in the afternoon I was cooing and squeaking at Diva- 'coz thats how I roll- and Louise heard me, walking over to see if maybe I was talking to her too.
The next thing I know - Turk is running across the living room and chases Louise back onto her cushion!
It was hysterical!

Back To Normal

Louise I mean.

She's on medication for kennel cough- cough mixture twice a day and a daily tablet- but she's completely 100% Louise again.
